Zlatograd opens the Days of wine

February 6th, 7th and 8th will be the Days of wine in Zlatograd. The organizers are the Ethnography areal complex-Zlatograd and the Tourist information center-Haskovo.

The event will be in honor of Trifon Zarezan, the patron saint of wine makers.

The director of the National history museum Bozhidar Dimitrov will open the event.

There will be several activities during the course of the event, including training of sommeliers and presentations from famous Bulgarian wine cellars.

Traditional rituals, such as taking care of the vines, will be re-enacted, and prof. Nikolay Ovcharov and Bozhidar Dimitrov will participate in a ritual wine sampling, a sacred activity among the ancient Thracians.
