80 policemen will be sent to the resort complex “Sunny beach” for the summer season of 2009, announced the police department of Bourgas.

The policemen will be divided between the regional police departments in Sunny beach and Nessebar.

In the summer, the crime rate in resort usually increases up to three times. Policemen say that thieves, mostly from northern Bulgaria, go on a “business” trip to the seaside.

Unofficial sources claim that thieves can earn themselves up to 200 euro in just a day. The police reinforcements will support their local colleagues in a renewed struggle for the safety of the resorts.
