The star of FC Levski (Sofia) Georgi Ivanov – Gonzo went through surgery of his right cheek-bone. The surgery took place in “Pirogov” and was done by dr. Zhelio Dimov, chief of the department for facial surgery.

The striker of the blue team was injured during the game with Belasitsa, when he scored a goal in the 6th minute but injured his head during the struggle for the ball with another player.

Gonzo will now travel to Germany, where he will be provided with a special helmet. He will play the remaining games in the season with it.

The manager Emil Velev, the owner of the team Todor Batkov and the medics of the blue team visited Georgi Ivanov after the operation in Pirogov. Georgi Ivanov himself said that he will do everything he can to play against the eternal adversary of Levski FC – CSKA on May 9th, even if he has to disregard the advice of doctors.
