Weak earthquake shook Blagoevgrad

A weak earthquake with a magnitude of 2,5 on the Richter scale was registered in Bulgaria, announced the website of the European Mediterranean seismology center.

The earthquake took place at 12:23 PM Bulgarian time.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 84 kilometers to the south of Sofia, 13 kilometers to the southeast of Blagoevgrad and eight kilometers to the northeast of Simitli. It was located 10 km. beneath the surface.

The European Mediterranean seismology center registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 3,1 on the Richter scale earlier this morning.
