The ancient capitals of Bulgaria and Japan to fraternize?

The president of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov suggested the fraternization of the ancient Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo and the ancient capital of Japan Kioto during his visit in the Eastern country.

This was announced by the archaeologist prof. Nikolay Ovcharov, who is a member of the Bulgarian delegation in Japan.

Yesterday, the presidential couple visited the ancient city, where the Bulgarian president met the governor, the mayor and the chairman of the Trading chamber of Kioto.

They shared opinions on the possibilities for closer contacts between the Japanese city and Veliko Tarnovo. Possibilities for broadening of the contacts in the cultural and educational department.
