Numerous Bulgarian titles at Sofia Film Fest

After the opening of the thirteenth Sofia Film Fest with the film of Georgi Diulgerov “Kozelat” (The Goat, 2009), the program of the international movie forum will attract the audience with several Bulgarian titles.

The full length debut of Yavor Gardev “Dzift” (2008), based on the novel of Vladislav Todorov, is the Bulgarian competitor for the grand prize of the International competition at the 13th International Sofia Film Fest. The film of the successful theatre director turned into one of the major cinema events in Bulgaria for 2008. “Dzift” falls into the “film noir” genre with several nods at socialist art – the issues with the freedom of speech, with which Gardev juggles with the post-modern stylistics.
