During the first session for 2009, the government will look over the proposal to declare the village Aheloy (Burgas region) a city.

The proposal is made by the mayor of the municipality Pomorie Petar Zlatanov, and is supported by OBS in the city. The motives for the change of statute is covering the necessary number of citizens (2193) that’ve permanently settled in Aheloy. The minimum number of citizens for a “city” title is 1000, according to laws.
