Plovdiv and Asenovgrad celebrate the 131th anniversary of their freedom

On January 16th, Plovdiv and Asenovgrad celebrate the 131th anniversary of their freedom, announced Darik Radio.

The official ceremonies in Plovdiv were at noon in front of the monument of captain Burago. A dirge in honor of the Bulgarians that fell in the fights for freedom was held in the church St. Troitsa (Trinity).

Wreathes were lain in front of the monument, and the director of the Regional history museum Stefan Shivachev gave a speech.

Wreathes were also lain in front of the monument of general Dandevil in Asenovgrad.
