A Bulgarian nominated for the Canadian “Grammy”

The guitarist Lubo Alexandrov and his band “Kaba Horo” are nominated for the second time in the category “World Music Album” of the Canadian music awards Juno 2009 (analogue to the US “Grammy” awards).

Born in Varna, Lubo Alexandrov moved to Canada early in the 90s.

Lubo and Kaba Horo won the Juno award in 2007 in the same category with their debut album and their unique style – a mixture of the wild power of Bulgarian dances, the merry spirit of gypsy songs, the emotion of Turkish melodes and provocative jazz rhythms.
