The “Culture” department of the Sofia municipality announced that the third edition of the National poetry competition “At the foot of Vitosha” will take place in 2009.

The competition is anonymous and the poems must have the 130th anniversary of Sofia as a capital of Bulgaria as it’s theme. Anyone above the age of 18 has a right to participate.

Each writer can participate with no more than three unpublished poems in seven copies, sent in a sealed envelope. A smaller sealed envelope must contain the personal data of the contestant (his full name, address, and telephone).

The deadline for the entries is March 20th 2009. Entries must be sent to: Sofia – 1000, “Slaveikov” square, в„– 4, Sofia municipality – “Culture” department, for the competition “At the foot of Vitosha”.
