Sesil Karatantcheva defeats Vanya King in Brisbane

Sesil Karatantcheva wins her second game in the qualifications of the tournament in Brisbane. In the second round, the Bulgarian defeated the American Vanya King with 2:0 sets (6:3, 7:5) in 101 minutes and moves forward in the competition.

Now Sesil will face the Russian Evgenya Rodina in the third qualification round of the Brisbane tournament. Rodina defeated the в„–2 player in the qualifications Karin Knapp (Italy) with 6:4, 6:0, and in the second round defeated Katalina Kastano with 6:4, 6:2. The Russian ended 2008 at в„–145 in the international rankings; Sesil is 148th.

So far the second racket of Bulgaria won 10 points for the rankings of the Women tennis association (WTA). If she defeats her opponent, she will win another 16 points.
