Xella Bulgaria marked the 15th anniversary of the popular construction blocks YTONG in Bulgaria with a meeting of partners and media in the hotel Hilton in Sofia.

The latest product of the company was presented at the event. The company also gave the awards for young sculptors “for 15 years YTONG constructs the future”.

These fifteen years were very dynamic for us. Today we not only mark the successes of our past, but also look boldly into the future, and the best proof of that is the premiere of YTONG A+,” commented Giosso Vidor, CEO of Xella Baustoffe for Southeastern Europe.

The first production of the popular construction material in Bulgaria began in 1994. Xella Bulgaria, part of Xella International, is the only producer of this product in Bulgaria. For the past 15 years, the factories of Xella in Sofia and Dobirch produced a total of 3 800 000 cubic metres YTONG. The investments for the period amount to 40 million leva, and the growth of production – from 170 000 to 620 000 cubic metres.
