Italians invest in the port of Ahtopol

Italian entrepreneurs want to invest in Ahtopol to turn it into a modern tourist port. This was made clear by Stephano Benacco, ambassador of Italy in Bulgaria, during his meeting with the governor of Burgas Lubomir Panteleev.

The Italian ambassador asked questions related to the economics, transport, cultural contributions between both countries, education. The governor acquainted his foreign guests with the social and economical characteristics of the region.

He spoke of the need of immediate and significant investments in the infrastructure projects of the region and the construction of local purifiers at the seaside. Pantaleev expressed his satisfaction at the work towads making the small ports at the seaside municipal property. This has been an effective change since last year and already three ports belong to the municipality.

During the meeting were also discussed the possibilities for development of Burgas and the completion of the transborder project Corridor в„–8.
