Burgas and Rijeka signed a treaty for collaboration

The municipality of Rijeka in Croatia will provide to the municipality of Burgas the entire logistics to develop a fishing exchange market. That was promised by the mayor of the croatian city Vojko Obersnel to Dimitar Nikolov during the visit of delegation from Burgas.

During the first stage of the fraternization of the two cities, realized through the initiative of the croatian and bulgarian ambassadors. The finalization of the treaty will be a fact in December in Burgas.

The fishing exchange market in Rijeka is one of the attractions and sights in the seaside city. 25 % of it is property of the municipality; the market is realized through public, private partnership. Four projects for fishing docks from Rieka will be given to the municipality of Burgas.

During the ceremony Dimitar Nikolov and Vojko Obersnel signed an official treaty for collaboration between Burgas and Rieka. Ambassadors from both countries also participated, and defined the two cities as “twins”, highlighting the perspective for the future relations between them.
