The metalhead mayor wants a guitar in the coat of arms of Kavarna

The main way to attract more tourists here is to develop our “concert tourism”, said the mayor of Kavarna Tsonko Tsonev in an interview for BTA.

I’m not talking about the traditional summer tourism, but rather the development of a rich and varied culture program that will fill the city with artists and fans for longer and longer periods of the year, stated Tsonev, also known as the metalhead mayor. According to him, a guitar may as well be added to the coat of arms of the seaside municipality, along with the head of wheat, the fortress wall, the dolphin and the helm of a ship.

Tsonko Tsonev thinks that the municipality will not see a significant decrease of the tourist flow, because the city isn’t among the biggest centers for traditional tourism anyway. Our hotels aren’t as numerous and I doubt owners will experience losses, said the mayor.
