212 000 tourists for 9 months

For the months to September, the resort “Albena” welcomed 212 000 tourists. That marks a growth of visitors by 3% compared to last year, announced the vice-president of the “Sales” department Iovka Strashilova. At the same time, statistics note a decline of the average stay of a tourist and the number of overnight stays overall. The most sleepovers are realized by the visitors from Russia, Romania and Bulgaria. Their numbers have grown since last year. The tourists from Romania have grown by 50%; Russians by 18% and Bulgarians by 29%. The number of visitors from Germany, England and France is lower than last year’s.

This year, “Albena” introduced a new product to the tourist market, and a first in the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The innovation is a holiday with the Ultra All Inclusive formula. This new formula was mostly sought by Romanians and Bulgarians in the hotels near the park zone of the resort. More hotels are to include this package for the next season, pointed out Iovka Strashilova.
