The clients of the “M-Tel” mobile provider sent about 9 000 000 text messages for the New Year, announced the company. The message data covers the time between 22:00 PM on December 31st 2008 to 24:00 PM on January 1st 2009.

During the days of Christmas, clients of the mobile operator sent over 11,5 million short text messages.

Another mobile operator – “Globul” – reports on 5 100 000 messages for the period between December 31st and January 2nd. During the days of Christmas, Globul clients sent 4,7 million text messages.
