Ice Cube to perform in Bulgaria

Ice Cube – one of the most popular names in the international hip-hop scene in the last twenty years will perform in Bulgaria on April 13th 2009 in the “Universiada” hall.

He is one of the most important rap performers on the US west coast and is often considered to be the father of the so-called gangsta rap.

O’Shea Jackson (better known by his stage name Ice Cube) was born on June 15th 1969 in Los Angeles. When he was 16, he was drawn to hip hop music and began writing lyrics.

His latest album is “Laugh Now, Cry Later” (2006), published under his own label “Da Lench Mob Records”. The album debuted on fourth position in the Billboard rankings of album sales with 144 000 copies moved in it’s first week.

Along with his career as a musician, Ice Cube has a notable presence on the movie screen. His most popular role is undoubtedly in the “Boyz N the Hood” movie. He also starred in several hit movies like “Friday”, “Triple X”, etc.
