The rent contracts for apartments increased by 12% in October, writes the newspaper Dnevnik, citing a representative of a large estate trading company.

The rising of rent prices is insignificant compared to the growth of demand. According to specialists, the rental prices of the larger apartments lower, and the prices of smaller apartments increase. Most sought are apartments with two rooms, with an increase in demand by 14% compared to the same period in 2007. The demand for apatments with one room has dropped by 6%, owing it to the similar price between one-room and two-room apartments.

The biggest growth of prices is in Varna – 13%, and Burgas – 11%. In Sofia, the increase is 8%. The customers are mostly interested in the quality of the apartment and it’s furniture, comment experts.
