A Bulgarian violinist received the order of Elizabeth II

The violinist Angel Stankov is the first Bulgarian musician to receive the order of queen Elizabeth II. The queen declared the virtuoso to be a honorary member of the British empire.

If Stankov was a citizen of Britain, he would also have received the title “Sir” along with his order. Professor Stankov played with his colleague Atanas Atanasov and his student Kristina Hinova at the ceremony.

Angel Stankov is a violin professor in the music academy. He specialized in England, under the tutelage Manuk Parikyan. He is a long time collaborator with Iosif Radionov; the duo received many awards. Lately, prof. Stankov works as a orchestra conductor.
