Foreign investments in Bulgaria remain solid
“Foreign investments in the coming year will remain at the same level as in 2008″”, said vice-minister of economics and energetics Yavor Kuiumdjiev. According to him, there is no shrinking of investors, and, up untill October, foreign investments in Bulgaria have reached 5 000 000 000 euro.
He ponited out the excllent business conditions in Bulgaria as an important factor in attracting investors. “The export strategy, supported by the government, will remove bureaucratic obstacles.”, according to Kuiumdjiev.
“Many investors have given up, because it takes from two to three years to get to the start of the production line. There are too many bureaucratic obstacles. We do our best to speed up the process.”, he explained, pointing out that the rent of properties will be under control.
According to him, there are still big government properties in places that are to become industrial zones. This will facilitate the potential investor, as these “special zones” will allow faster developement. It will be possible to complete some of the procedures even before a potential investor has apeared.
