Two festivals in Sofia for the weekend

Sofia Municipality and a variety of sponsors are organizing two festivals in Sofia this weekend.

The first one will be held in front of the National Palace of Culture and is called Dynamix Urbanize Street Art Festival. It starts on Friday, all kinds of artists, specialists at street art, break dance, skating, BMX and others will gather to perform in one stage. There will also be workshops, the products of which will remain untouched for a week. Stand Up Comedians, Leepra Deluxe and Panican Whyasker will be some of the bands performing on stage.

The second festival will take place in the Zaimov Park and is called Sofia City Fest. It will be something like a vacation in urban environment and will urge its guests to take part in the ‘Give a tree as a gift’ initiative. The domains will be arts, sports and ecology. A backgammon and chess tournaments are expected to be conducted. The festival’s chess winner will have to face Kiprian Berbatov at the final – Dimitar Berbatov’s younger cousin has already become European chess champion.
