By the end of the first day of the International military athletics championship, the Bulgarian sportsmen have won three titles and one silver medal.

The champions are: Inna Eftimova in the 100 m. sprint (11.49 seconds), Momchil Karailiev in the triple jump (17.22 metres) and Venelina Veneva in the high jump (188 cm).

Mirela Demireva is second in the high jump with 185 cm. result. In the 100 m. sprint for men, Samuel Francis (Qatar) defended his title from the previous championship, crossing the finish line for 10.23 seconds.
