A research by INFORSE-Europe and the union “For earth” presented their vision for stable energetics in Bulgaria, with a strong accent on the transition to a different type energy supplying – one that aims for the imminent stopping of ore mining over the next 50 years.

This would lead to a lot of positive effects for Bulgaria, because it still depends on the import of ores. The transition to using local renewable energy sources will allow Bulgaria to avoid the damage of the higher ore prices – the natural result of the rapid depletion of those energy resources.
