The project for historical complex Magura applies for European financing

The municipality of Belogradchik expects the decision of the European commission to finance the project for the historical complex Magura.

The decision has to be taken by the end of February. The project is worth 400 000 leva.

The project envisions both archaeological research and conservation works. The rock drawings of Magurata will be researched and restored. Thematical tourist routes and six museum platforms will be constructed. The complex will have two parking lots.

An internet website and advertising materials will popularize the historical complex Magurata. Last year, the cave had nearly 37 000 visitors. The municipality of Belogradchik invested 40 000 leva for the support of this historical site.
