The situation in the Bulgarian tourism is normal

“For the first time in seven months, the foreign tourists in Bulgaria are 3,9% lower, which isn’t a drastic decrease overall,” stated Anelia Krushkova at the spa and wellness tourism forum in the Golden Sands resort. According to her, the decrease of income from foreign tourists in the first seven months of the year is 2,6%.

She was resolute that the decrease will be dealt with after the financial assessment for August. September will be the same statistically as the same period of last year.

“The flow of tourists from the EU will be insignificantly decreased – by 1,6%. Only tourists from Serbia (34%), the United Kingdom (19%) and Macedonia have lowered significantly. On the contrary, we have a 13,9% increase of tourists from Germany, 30% increase of tourists from Hungary and the Czech Republic, and additional increase from Moldova, Poland and Belarus,” added Krushkova.

She also noted that Russian tourists have increased, but the growth can’t be defined precisely due to the three-year visas for Russian owners of estates in Bulgaria.
