The prices of “Gasprom” in Bulgaria drop by 30-40%

During the course of next year, “Gasprom” will drop the prices of gas in Bulgaria by an average of 30-40%. This was part of the prognosis of the Russian monopolist, announced by the company’s speaker Sergey Kupriyanov in front of selected journalist audience.

He and Ilya Kochevrin, chief executive of “Gasexport”, the Russian side of the long-term contract with “Bulgargas”, are on an unofficial visit in Sofia. They met only the chairman of the parliamentary budget commission and ex-minister of economics and energetics Rumen Ovcharov, who initiated the change of clauses of the gas contracts and extended them until 2030 two years ago.
