At last, Sofia enjoys the long-awaited Christmas snow! It came like in a fairy tale, surprising everyone and causing a lot of confusion in many of the capital’s districts. Being unprepared for the surprising snow is almost a tradition for the municipality administration.

The snow cover is already 1-2 centimetres. There is strong wind, and the roads are wet and slippery. Almost all districts in Sofia had problems with electricity. The movement of cars is currently impeded, and public transport has a hard time reaching the higher parts of the capital.
