Electric line “Maritsa Iztok – Nea Sanda” to be constructed

The construction of an electric line “Maritsa Iztok – Nea Sanda” was discussed yesterday by the minister of economics and energetics Petar Dimitrov and the minister of progress of Greece Hristos Folias.

This was announced to BTA by the press centre of the Ministry of economics and energetics. The project can begin by the end of the year and end by 2011.

The two ministers signed a declaration of intentions to strengthen the collaboration between the two countries in the field of energetics. “These agreements enhance the safety of our energetics and the shared development of new, ecological sources of energy,” said minister Folias.

It was noted during the conference, that the investments of Greece in Bulgaria have grown twice their size for the first six months of this year.
