Sofia will hava a traffic-free Christmas. “All road repairs should be over by the holidays”, promised the new vice-mayor of public transport Alexander Tsvetkov. Just a few patching works will remain, but that is nothing unheard of all the time, writes the newspaper “Standard”.

The first and last few days of the holidays will accumulate a significant traffic at the city exits. The people that remain in Sofia, however, will have a good time on the roads, say the municipality spokesmen.

“This year the repairs could go on longer because of the warmer weather and the weak snow”, comments Tsvetkov.
