40 Bulgarians declare income over 1 million leva

Fourty Bulgarians declared an income of over 1 million leva, and one declared income of over 10 million leva, announced the director of the National agency for income (NAP) Krasimir Stefanov in an interview for the Bulgarian national radio.

This is the third successful year of the campaign of the Agency for declaration of income. A day before the end of the campaign, the number of submitted declarations is about 500 thousand, and the number of online submitted declaration has also increased to nearly 20 thousand.

“We expect about 650 thousand declarations. Last year they were about 750-800 thousand; the decrease is due to some changes in the taxing laws,” said Stefanov.

“NAP isn’t waging a war against the rich people. Our efforts are directed at those that have income and estates, but declare that they have only the bare minimum,” added he.
