Bulgarians compensate the lack of foreigners in Albena

Bulgarian tourists are the largest number of visitors in the resort Albena at the moment. Their number is around 3000, followed by 2800 Russians and 2000 Romanians. This was announced by the vice-director of marketing and advertisement of the resort Yovka Strashilova.

Local tourists so far compensate the decrease of foreign visitors. At the moment, about 1300 – 1400 Germans and Scandinavians relax in Albena. The French and Scandinavian markets have significantly decreased since last year – about 30% drop, followed by a decrease of German tourists – 15-16%.

On the other hand, Bulgarian tourists have increase by 11% since the beginning of the year, and with 40% just within July. For now, the Romanian market has increased by 6%, but the relatively lower number of organized groups will probably result in numbers comparable to last year’s.
