The prime minister Sergey Stanishev announced the establishment of a government fund “In vitro”. The financing of the fund is 20 million leva, which will cover about three attempts per woman with reproductive issues.

The work of the fund (attached to the Ministry of healthcare) will be controlled by doctors and representatives of non-governmental organizations. Patients will have the right to choose the clinic where their procedure will take place.

The minister of healthcare Evgenii Zhelev added, that the fund will be available as early as March.
