Electronic voting – inside the voting booth
The National assembly approved of a hybrid new form of voting. The parliament introduced electronic voting inside the traditional voting booth of the election sections. The new type of voting is still in it’s experimental stages.
Electronic voting will be conducted through automated systems, located in several sections as defined by the Central election committee.
The voting booth will have both normal voting papers and an electronic voting device, which can be used with a magnet card requested at the voting section. At the end of the day, the electronic device will be given to the Central election committee to count the total number of votes.
The proposal for online voting with an electronic signature was rejected. It would’ve allowed voters to vote from anywhere on Earth.
