Bulgarian scientist makes a unique map of Antarctica
The Bulgarian scientist Liubomir Ivanov created a unique map of Antarctica. The achievement of the Bulgarian scientist is particularly impressive, because all previous attempts for this were interrupted by the weather conditions of the chilling continent.
The grand illustrated map depicts the Livingston Island with the Bulgarian base “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the nearby isles Smith, Snow, Greenwich and Robertson – all part of the South Shetlands archipelago.
The map was printed into 4000 copies. A thousand copies have been reserved for scientific institutions, libraries and research teams, and the remaining 3000 will be provided as modern, up-to-date educational tools for geography lessons.
