By the end of December (or as late as January), a park wil be opened in front of the Sofia airport. This was announced by the transport minister Petar Mutafchiev during his visit of the University of architecture, building and geodesy (UASG).

Minister Mutafchiev commented, that the lanes and hall of terminal 2 must be widened according to Schengen standards.

The minister also announced, that the concessioners started work on new terminals in the Burgas and Varna airports. He also said, that while the airport in Ruse is still not functioning, it is at a “very good location to serve customers from Romania, as well.”
