Varna will have a skateboarding park in the spring

A big skateboarding park in Varna should be completed by the spring of 2009, announced the newspaper Dnevnik. The ambitious project is the work of two young architects that are long-time fans of the extreme sport. Skateboarding being a hobby for both is a huge plus to the project, because it’s done by people that understand what is needed in details.

The park will take over 3000 sq. metres of the sports complex in the “Mladost” district. It will feature 5 zones on two levels. Each zone will provide various obstacles of different difficulty.

A small building near the park will provide changing rooms and room for the trainers and guards of the park. The whole park will cost 600 000 leva.

The investor plans to fund the construction of seats for audiences. The project’s ambitions are to host various international competitions for extreme sports.
