The season in Chepelare – opened

33 leva will be the price of a daily card for the lift in the Sport centre “Chepelare” for the 2009 season. A five-hour music set on the town square and 500 litres of mulled wine will mark the official opening of the Sports centre “Chepelare” on January 7th.

The citizens of Chepelare will be entertained by live performances of Anelia and Miro, the stand up comedy of Krasi Radkov and Victor Kalev. Local musicians and dancers will also join the music marathon.

This winter season in Chepelare also features a new four-seat ski lift and nearly 20 kilometres of ski tracks of various difficulty, including a special track for snowboarding with deep snow, informs “Focus”. By the lift, it will only take 9 minutes to cover the 2700 metres distance. The main track is also provided with snow machines.

The biathlon Olympian champion Ekaterina Dafovska was chosen to be the official patron of the resort. She was born and lives to this day in this city.

The investments in the Sport centre “Chepelare” are already reaching 10 million euro. The total amount of investments for the full realization of the project will surpass 50 million euro.
