The prices in bulgarian resorts compete with the ones in Dubai

The prices for the New Year’s celebrations in the bulgarian hotels are almost at the level of the ones in Dubai and Tunis, according to the newspaper Novinar. Reporters from the newspaper have found out that a seven day rest for two in a luxorious hotel in Bansko or Borovets can cost up to 2000-3000 leva. The prices include seven sleep overs with breakfasts and dinners and a special dinner for New Year’s Eve.

The menu of the special dinner provided by the hotels usually includes expensive wines and delicacies that significantly raise the prices of the packages.

In comparison, a similar package for two, but in Dubai, costs about 2000 leva – including the flight ticket. The study by the newspaper Novinar does not clarify the category in which the hotel falls into, but even with flight travel becoming more expensive because of airport taxes and visas, Dubai becomes a significant cometitor for the bulgarian resorts.

The personnel in tourist agencies shared to Novinar that Dubai is getting more and more popular with bulgarians to spend the New Year’s Eve. On the other hand, hotel staff appealed to bulgarians to try bulgarian resorts for the holidays to stimulate the tourism and fund it to better overcome the financial crisis.
