The expansion is the most successful project of the EU

The expansion is one of the most successful projects of the European union, said the minister of foreign affairs Ivailo Kalfin for the Bulgarian national radio.

Despite the current slowdown of the negotiations with Croatia, Brussels note a significant improvement in that direction – when compared to the current situation with Turkey. “All future members of the EU must not expect to be able to enter the Union while still having issues with a member country – they will have to first deal with them,” said Kalfin, hinting at the border issue between Croatia and Slovenia.

Minister Ivailo Kalfin expressed his satisfaction with his visit in China. China is ready with their plans for automobile construction in Bulgaria, and negotiations between the two governments will be concluded within weeks.
