The elite hotels – full for the holidays

“The resorts are filled for the holidays; there’s practically no rooms left”. That was announced by Donka Sokolova, chairman of BATA, for the newspaper “Monitor”.

“Bulgarians chose resorts in their home country for the holidays”, added she. According to her, spa hotels are very sought right now, along with ski resorts. Even Bansko is full, according to the BATA chairman.

This week will be decisive for the season, because the number of foreign tourists coming to Bulgaria will be made clear. The lower number of British tourists is already known, and according to Sokolova, the 30% less Russian visitors will be hard to make up for, as well.

Zlati Zlatev, owner of hotel “Rich” in Velingrad said that reservations for his hotel were over nearly two months before the holidays. The other popular and luxurious spa hotels in Velingrad also enjoy similar popularity.

The rural houses and architectural resorts in Bulgaria were perhaps the most popular and earliest to be filled.
