Ovcharov: A coalition between DPS and BSP is doomed

A coalition between DPS and BSP could hardly rule Bulgaria anymore, stated the chairman of the City council of BSP in Sofia Rumen Ovcharov. He spoke on the topic after being asked for his opinion on the words of the leader of DPS Ahmed Dogan in the village Kochan.

Ovcharov added: “I can hardly accept the manner of his speech as an expression of coalition culture. On the contrary, it’s a direct stab at their main coalition partner. I’d like to point out that he did the same thing four years ago, when he said that BSP and DPS were already in coalition, and thus significantly lowered the number of votes for BSP. He’s doing the same trick again, which leads me to believe that he’s revising his own coalition politics.”

According to Ovcharov, the words of Ahmed Dogan are a direct stab at the Bulgarian Socialist Party, especially in the regions with mixed population, The anti-Dogan campaign and all negatives that BSP suffers from their coalition with DPS are dominant not only in regions like Targovishte, Razgrad, Shumen and Silistra, but all across the country.
