The Cuban experience in trading and tourism pours into Vidin

Today, the mayor of Vidin Rumen Vidov welcomed the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba – His Highness mr. Herardo Suarez Alvarez. During the talks, mr. Vidov acquainted the ambassador with the historical characteristics and strategic geographic location of the municipality of Vidin.

He emphasized on the potential of development of local economics in the field of agriculture, considering the fruitful soils and the water supply that is the river Danube. The mayor Rumen Vidov presented the undergoing project for the construction of a bridge between Vidin and Kalafat. He emphasized that the construction of the second Danube bridge will speed up the cementing of Vidin as a transport center, which is already a meeting point of two international transport corridors.

Mr. Vidov also presented the participation of the municipality in several administration departments of the Danube conference and the Danube investment council.
