The border guard of Vidin catch Turkish terrorist sought by Interpol

The press centre of the Ministry of internal affairs announced that the border guard of GKPP “Vidin” caught a terrorist sought by Interpol. The Turkish citizen passed through several borders successfully, despite the international order for his arrest.

Yesterday at 6:50 AM, after passing through the Bulgarian border with the ferry boat between Calafat and Vidin, the Turkish citizen M.E., 36 years old, was arrested. He was traveling through the route Hungary – Romania – Bulgaria – Turkey.

The Turkish citizen E.M. is sought by Interpol because of an international order for arrest and extradition to Turkey. The order was issued on July 24th 2007 by the Turkish authorities, due to the person’s membership and financing of a terrorist organization “TNKR/S – Dev Sol”.
