Putin: Even if you reject us, we’ll still be friends

If Bulgaria rejects the realization of our mutual energy projects, Russia can find other routes for the delivery of resources. This was stated by the Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin during his meeting with the Bulgarian prime minister Boiko Borisov in the Polish city Sopot.

“We’ll go in other directions, and Russia will solve this issue through other means. We’ll find other ways to co-operate with you, with no insults taken and no problems between us”, stated Putin.

“If the new government decides that one or the other project does not fit the best interest of Bulgaria, I assure you – we will have no problems in our relations,” added he.

The Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin emphasized that Bulgaria should give definite answers on the several mutual energy projects, even if the answer is rejection.

“If for some reason the government decides that one of these projects doesn’t fit the best interest of Bulgaria, it will not harm our relations. We will discuss only the projects that we agree on. We’ll find other projects for co-operation too,” said Putin during his meeting with his Bulgarian colleague Boiko Borisov in Poland.
