President Parvanov Wants New Security Strategy for Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s President Georgi Parvanov has called for a new security strategy for the country during the opening in Sofia of an international conference entitled Security in Southeastern Europe: Public-Private Partnership and Crisis Infrastructure.

A new security strategy must be a subject to a large public discussion, Parvanov said while opening the event.

According to the president, the latest fire in the national park of Rila showed that Bulgaria needs more coordination in the sphere of security.
