No trucks in the center of Sofia from 1st January

From 1st January lorries won’t be able to enter the center of Sofia, decided the Capital Municipal Council.

The prohibition will be valid for the time between 7 and 22 o’clock. Exceptions will be made only for lorries anf building machines with weight from 8 to 30 tones, which has paid a daily fee of 150 levs. For lorries with weight more than 30 tones the fee will be 300 levs.

The municipal councilors explained this decision with the fact that lorries hinder the traffic and destroy the streets.
