Hotels in Pleven with record incomes

Bulgarian hotels in Pleven have generated record profits for the first half of the year – more than 1.56 million leva. This is 300 000 leva more than the same period of 2007, announced on Friday the Regional Statistical Bureau.

Exactly 27 869 people have stayed in Pleven’s hotels, 3 248 of them – foreigners from 45 different nations. In spite of the foreigner’s smallest number, they are responsible for approximately one third of the record income.

Hotels with fewer than 30 beds were not included in the research. Pleven isn’t among the primary tourist destinations in Bulgaria, but it has quite a potential.
