Bulgaria – the cheapest country in the EU

Bulgaria The lowest prices for consumer goods and services compared to the average prices in the European Union – 51% of the average price.
The research has been conducted by Eurostat – the official statistic agency of the European community.
Other cheap countries include Romania (62%), Lithuania (67%) and Poland (69%).
In 2008, the level of prices of consumer hoods and services in the EU are different mostly between the countries – members.
The prices in Denmark are the highest (147% the EU average), followed by Ireland (127%) and Finland (125%).
