First day of “Dan Kolov” and “Nikola Petrov” – Bulgaria takes 13 medals

The Bulgarian athletes won three golden medals, five silvers and five bronze medals in the first tournament day of the international wrestling tournament “Dan Kolov” and “Nikola Petrov” in Varna.

Results men:
– 60 kg. freestyle: Ismail Rejeb – Muhamed Demir (Turkey) – 2:0 (1:0; 1:0);

– 74 kg.: Kiril Terziev – Kristian Brozozovski (Poland) – 2:1 (1:2; 5:4; 4:1);

– 96 kg. classical style: Michail Tamilov (USA) – Yasin Klich (Turkey) – 0:2 (1:4; 2:4);

– 55 kg.: Venelin Venkov (Bulgaria) – Hasegawa Kohei (Japan) – 0:2 (0:1; 0:2);

– 66 kg.: Yon Panait (Romania) – Plamen Petrov – 2:0 (4:0; 2:0);

– 84 kg.: Evegny Bogomilov (Russia) – Nikolay Bairyakov – 2:0 (3:0; 4:0);

– 120 kg.: Ivan Ivanov (Bulgaria) – Petar Bogaevski (Bulgaria) – a clean victory for Ivanov due to medical constraints for Bogaevski;

Results women:

– 48 kg.: Estera Dobre (Romania) – Lindsay Rushton (Canada) – touchdown in the second half;

– 55 kg.: Ana Maria Paval (Romania) – Brittany Laverdeur (Canada) – 2:0 (2:0; 4:1);

– 59 kg.: Amanda Gerhard (Canada) – Taibe Usein (Bulgaria) – 2:1 (3:0; 0:2; 1:0).
